The old saying, “less is more,” definitely applies in this situation. Put away or put into storage whatever you can. Remove large or over-sized furniture and clean off the counter tops. Additionally, go through the cabinets and closets and remove things you can do without. Imagine a buyer coming in and seeing all the storage they have for their own things. Any issues with the title will likely come up at the eleventh hour, and you don’t want your house sale to fall through just before you get your check. Sometimes buyers make their decision about whether or not they want your house before they even get out of the car. Make sure that the view from the car is a good one.
